When you hear the word “missions,” do you automatically picture a missionary living with
villagers in a jungle, eating bugs? Well, that might be for a few wild at heart, but for the rest of
us, there are many opportunities to get involved with missions. Here at NSCC, we focus on
“being church,” rather than simply “doing church.” Our vision is to “love each other like
Christ loves.” With that in mind, we are committed to reaching out to our community, as well
as to the ends of the earth, in order to share the love and message of Jesus Christ.
LOCAL MISSIONS

We are committed to being a community of believers that has a real and lasting impact on
the East end of Long Island.

During the winter months,
we partner with the
Riverhead Salvation Army
to assist with their annual
toy drive, and to help staff
their soup kitchen.

Catskill Christian Assembly is located
in the beautiful Catskill Mountains. They
promote teaching and preaching the Gospel
and the love of Jesus. This is accomplished
through camp weeks and retreats for both
young people and adults throughout the year.

NSCC partners with
Catskill Christian Assembly through:

*prayer
*financial support
*providing our kids with scholarships
*participating in work weekends to staff camp
GLOBAL MISSIONS
Shepherd’s Purse is a networking
agency that coordinates services and
provides support to different missions
located in the Ukraine. They care for
abandoned babies and homeless kids.

We partner with the Wetzel's, the
missionaries behind Shepherd's Purse,
through prayer, financial support and
participating in special projects.

After many months of survey work, cultural training, interning and prep work in Auckland, New
Zealand,
Joe and Amy Flammer, who are part of a New Zealand church plant team through South
Pacific Christian Fellowship, moved to Christchurch, New Zealand to start a new church.
February 21, 2010 was reChurch's first Sunday service!

With an international reputation of equality, fairness and peace; effective ministry in New Zealand
is effective global ministry. It is the Flammers’ goal to make reChurch a relevant, reproducing church as
the beginning of a church planting movement in a nation that has, for the most part, abandoned Christ.

We partner with the Flammers through prayer, financial support and participating in special projects.
